Yankalilla museums

The Yankalilla Region in South Australia is home to the Yankalilla History Museum, which showcases the rural and social life of the district. Situated behind the Yankalilla Visitor Centre, the museum features themes such as agriculture, mining, maritime, domestic life, and trades. Some highlights include an extensive collection of items reflecting the local life, an impressive photographic collection, and pieces related to the district's history, like the radar antenna from the scuttled HMAS Hobart.

Exhibitions at the museum include a real church relocated from Inman Valley, an early settlers cottage, a blacksmith's shop, a nursery, a shop, and multiple sheds showcasing farm machinery. The museum is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and weekends and public holidays from 10 am to 4 pm. Conveniently located onsite with the Yankalilla Bay Visitor Information Centre, the museum caters to all ages and provides workbooks to keep children engaged during their visit.
