Yeppoon art galleries and exhibitions

The museum, designed by a tripartite architectural team of local and national practices, boasts a venturous and engaging design that has become a catalyst for the advancement of art and culture in the region. Established as the Rockhampton Art Gallery in the late 1960s, the museum has grown to become the custodian of an enviable collection of twentieth-century Australian paintings, largely amassed during the second half of the 1970s.

The $36-million RMOA was championed by the Capricorn Coast and has proven to be a significant development for the region's art and cultural landscape. In Yeppoon itself, you can take a DIY food and art tour of the town, strolling down the main street or along the esplanade to browse beach-chic boutiques, surf stores, and various art galleries.
