It is advised to avoid visiting during the summer months of November to February due to poor visibility from algae blooms. To reach Lady Elliot Island, visitors can take a scenic flight from Bundaberg or Hervey Bay, which takes approximately 45 minutes.
Alternatively, a ferry from Bundaberg is available, taking approximately 4 hours. Prior bookings are essential for flights and ferry services.
