With Darkness Deep

Come in from the cold as HIP Company returns to the serene surrounds of St Andrew's Church to present a programme of Baroque delights for soprano, strings and theorbo.

With Darkness Deep combines a stunning selection of music by Handel, Matthew Locke, Lully, Charpentier, and master of English song, Henry Purcell. This reverie on dreams, rest and the magic of night-time will be sure to warm the soul.

HIP Company is an Early Music ensemble from Perth, specialising in the 'historically informed performance' ('HIP') of seventeenth and eighteenth century music.

For this concert, HIP Company directors Bonnie de la Hunty (soprano), Sarah Papadopoulos (violin) and Krista Low (viola da gamba), will be joined by associate artists Eliza McCracken (violin) and Matthew Jones (theorbo).

The concert lasts approximately one hour and will be followed by a complimentary drinks reception in the church hall, including Victory Point Wines.
