Description

Visiting the Hare Krishna Centre (ISKCON) in Auckland, New Zealand, is a unique experience that offers visitors a chance to learn about the Hare Krishna philosophy and participate in various activities.

The temple is open to the public, and visitors can enjoy meditation, music, vegetarian food, festivals, courses, and worship services. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful property that maintains many interesting animals, native bush, fruit trees, ponds, numerous living quarters, and even a primary school.

The Sri Sri Radha-Giridhari Temple is the heart of the community and hosts several festivals throughout the year, including the Panihati Cida Dahi Festival and the Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple Festival. Festivals are an integral part of ISKCON, and they are colorful, vibrant, and fun-filled events that celebrate spirituality with multi-course feasts, elaborate rituals, kirtans, dance, and drama. The temple hosts several festivals throughout the year, including the Panihati Cida Dahi Festival, which is held on Sunday, June 4th, 2023, and the Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple Festival, which is held on June 17th and 18th, 2023. There are also festivals held in Papatoetoe on June 24th, 2023, and in Glenfield on July 1st, 2023.
