Sydney Fringe Festival

The Sydney Fringe Festival is the largest independent arts festival in NSW with over 450 events presented in 80 venues across greater Sydney each September.

Our 2023 Festival attracted 100,000 people who immersed themselves in incredible work made and performed by over 2000 artists. From Spiegeltents to terrace houses, street closures to escape rooms we filled every corner of Sydney with fierce, brave, delicious, experimental and extraordinary work.

Outside of festival time the Sydney Fringe works with public and private sector partners to activate unused space, drive policy and regulatory reform and advocate for independent artists to build a vibrant and sustainable arts, culture and creative industries sector.
