Description

Come and explore the National Parks, pristine waterways and untouched paradise of the Town of 1770 - the Birthplace of Queensland - in Queensland’s Southern Great Barrier Reef region! Our ex-military Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo (LARC) vessels will take you to remote beaches, cross sandbars and tidal creeks, access 35 metre dunes and even climb the steep headland to the historic island lightstation of Bustard Head.

Hear the tales of tragedy and triumph as early settlers and lighthouse keepers struggled to tame this remote wilderness and get ready for the thrill of sand boarding down the towering dunes of Middle Island. Take a guided tour in the light keeper's cottage, now a museum of artefacts and light station memorabilia, and marvel at the prolific wildlife that inhabits the area while you take in the stunning panoramic views. Don't miss out on this unique experience!
