Description

The Parramatta River Cycleway is a 15-kilometre scenic route in Sydney, Australia that runs along the Parramatta River.

It is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, offering a great way to explore the city while staying active. The cycleway stretches from Morrison Bay Park in Ryde to Parramatta Park in Parramatta.

Another elevated steel mesh boardwalk takes cyclists through the Baludarri Wetlands, providing an opportunity to observe wildlife in their natural habitat.

Cyclists crossing Macarthur Street in Parramatta will enjoy a stunning view of the Parramatta River Bridge. To continue along the south side of the river, the Gasworks Bridge can be used before crossing back over to the north side at Parramatta ferry wharf. The tunnel under the Lennox Bridge, which caused controversy in 2015, is now open and connects the cycleway with Parramatta Park.

The cycleway also offers connections to other parts of Sydney. Ryde Bridge or Meadowbank Railway Bridge can be used to reach Rhodes and
