The southern end of the beach is a unique surfing spot. The waves refract off the rock wall, creating a powerful and wedge-shaped wave that attracts surfers from all over.

Iluka Main Beach is dog and 4WD friendly at low tides, with council permission required for driving on the beach. It offers a fun-filled day for families, friends, and pets.
