Burra Heritage Trail: Uncover the Riches of Burra's Mining Heritage If you're interested in exploring the mining heritage of South Australia, you shouldn't miss the Burra Heritage Trail.

Located in the town of Burra, this trail takes you on a journey through the rich mining history of the area, with access to some of the town's most fascinating historical sites.

The Burra Heritage Trail provides visitors with key access to eleven locked sites, each offering a unique glimpse into the town's mining past. Some of the must-see sites on the trail include the Redruth Gaol, Unicorn Brewery Cellars, and the Miners Dugouts. While the Unicorn Brewery Cellars and Miners Dugouts are currently unavailable, discounted entry to the Bon Accord Mine Museum is available with the Heritage Passport.

You'll have the flexibility to explore each of these sites at your own pace and spend as much time as you'd like. The Burra Heritage Passport Key provides access for up to two days, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in Burra's rich mining heritage. You should plan to spend at least two days exploring the trail, to fully appreciate the unique history of Burra.

Burra is located in the mid-north of South Australia, about 160 km north of Adelaide. The town can be accessed via car, with parking available at each of the sites on the trail. Alternatively, shuttle bus services are available from Adelaide, with packages that include the Burra Heritage Passport.
