Description

Blairgowrie Beach is a stunning stretch of sandy beach that stretches for five kilometres along the coast, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Located in the town of Blairgowrie, Victoria, this is an ideal spot for swimming, surfing, and enjoying a variety of water sports.

The beach is backed by a continuous foreshore reserve that offers a range of facilities for visitors. This includes a narrow, 200-metre long jetty, boat ramps, and a camping area for those who want to stay overnight. Toilets are located close to Wilsons Road while cafes and shops, including a supermarket, can be found across the road from the reserve. In addition to these amenities, the beach also boasts a yacht club and marina, providing opportunities for boating enthusiasts.

Blairgowrie Beach is an excellent place to go for swimming, and is usually narrow with 200 to 300-metre wide, shallow sand flats or sand bars. This makes it ideal for families with children who want to wade in the water or play on the sandy beach. It is also a great spot for surfers who want to catch some waves, with surfboards available to hire from one of the local surf shops.

The best time to visit Blairgowrie Beach is during the warmer months between December and February when the beach is at its busiest with visitors. Blairgowrie Beach is located approximately 87 kilometres from Melbourne, and can be reached by car via the Nepean Highway to the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. Once on the freeway, take the turnoff at the Boneo Road exit and follow
