Whiteman Park in the Swan Valley is a unique recreation and conservation reserve covering 4,000 hectares of natural bushland. The Park is home to Caversham Wildlife Park, the Birds of Prey Flying Display, Motor Museum of WA, Tractor Museum of WA and Revolutions Transport Heritage Museum. There are two playgrounds, picnic and barbeque facilities plus vintage bus, train and tram rides are available. There is a café in the village plus a number of interesting craft and gift shops.
New for 2011 tours of Woodland Reserve, the Park’s premier conservation project. The reserve provides an important breeding facility for rare and endangered fauna of the state, including the critically endangered woylie. Tours are available on Friday evenings from 7.00pm (February – April) and Sunday mornings (May – September). Pre-booking is essential (08) 9209 6000.
