With the opening of its first showroom in Perth last year, LCL Architectural is providing the highest quality architectural European and Australian lighting to discerning architects, designers, specifiers and retailers in Western Australia.
The company extends itself from just supplying products to being actively involved in the design process to ensure the best outcomes for each and every project. Testament to the company’s expertise in commercial design is the Peter Alexander store recently opened at Garden City.
Recruited for all stores across Australia, the lighting design of the Booragoon store followed the established philosophy of creating a pseudo-bedroom environment. Low-voltage AR111 Lamps (aluminium reflector) were employed to promote a warm, golden feel. Accent lighting was used to highlight merchandise in preference to the overall wash of light usually found in retail stores.
Also showcasing LCL Architectural’s ability to evaluate the lighting needs of a commercial space is the Deloitte office in Perth City.
Metal Halide (MH) lighting brings an immediate ‘wow-factor’ to the entrance and reception area, picking up the sparkle in the floor material. Continuous aluminium extruded striplights create a seamless runway from the main entry to the sitting area. A combination of fluorescents and AR111 lights create an ambience while still providing for general lighting in meeting rooms.
