Designing to maximise an awkward, angular space is no easy task, but Denny McCrisken of Retreat Design did just that in this bathroom.

While strong design and functionality were key points in the client’s brief, they also requested a focus be placed on the spa bath, indulgent shower space and ample storage solutions. The design also needed to incorporate materials that would complement the classic limestone and cedar features of the home.

Walnut cabinetry provides a wonderful contrast to the natural travertine floors and walls, and offers plenty of storage space.

The cantilevered sink made from Corian features a chrome bottle trap, and complements other Italian chrome fittings such as the Hydrotherm heated towel rail.

The spa bath features the latest hydrotherapy jet system as well as a hob-mounted bath set including hand shower.
In the shower, both a ceiling-mounted rain shower and wall-mounted hand shower were installed to complete the request for luxury.
