Volunteers For Plate4plate Day 2016

Overview

More than 500 volunteers are needed on Plate4Plate Day in Perth on Friday October 21, to help create over 100,000 dry packaged meals for people in need.

In Detail
This massive event, which will be held at NIB stadium, is part of Plate4Plate World Hunger Day, and requires volunteers to spend either a morning or afternoon session carefully measuring out meals in a fast paced, high-energy event.

Volunteers will be asked to help set up and take down packaging stations and equipment, fill bins with raw ingredients, scoop ingredients into meal bags, weigh and seal the bags, box and stack them on pallets, and load the pallets and equipment onto
a truck all in a fun filled inspiring atmosphere.

The meals from October 21 will be provided to vulnerable people across the seas in the Philippines, where people are still suffering from the devastating effects of the 2014 typhoon.

Volunteers need to be able to make their own way to NIB stadium.
