Western Australia will receive a new Spanish flavour with the upcoming launch of Bar de Halcyon, Perth’s first pintxos (pronounced pinchos) bar.
Set to open in early September 2013, Bar de Halcyon is the latest small bar to take residence in trendy Wolf Lane and will offer a relaxed and social ambience, complemented by a unique fusion of cultural influences.
The inspiration for the name Bar de Halcyon comes from its Spanish influence and an interpretation of the word ‘halcyon’ to mean calmness, happiness and joy.
Pintxos, a traditional Spanish snack, is recognised as the food which brings people together because of the social manner which it is consumed. Bar de Halcyon will offer an array of hot and cold seasonal delights along with a selection of craft beers, leading local and international wines and an array of classic cocktails.
Bar de Halcyon is the innovation of local businessman, David Heaton, who promises the bar will add a new element of sophisticated decadence to Perth’s small bar scene.
