The North Perth Antique Centre has grown into one of the largest & most respected businesses in West Australia, with over 1/4 of an acre of showroom, specializing in sympathetically restored antique & early 20thC furniture from the UK, Europe & Australia.
North Perth Antiques Centre was established in 1979 and has grown to be one of the largest importers of English and European furniture in the state. After the retirement in 2010 of Michael Ephraims his partner of 16 years, Derek Aslett whom with his family have been involved in the antique trade both here in Perth and in the Kent area of the UK for over 30 years.
He commenced in Perth after a successfully career as a professional cricketer with Kent County Cricket Club, and has been responsible for the purchasing of stock over these years, establishing contacts in the UK, France and Belgium, he now is the sole proprietor and has incorporated Empire Antiques into the antique centre. With between 4 and 6 forty foot containers arriving each year and with over 1000sqms of floor space in the centre these items are always displayed to be seen at their best.
They have a large and varied selection of Oak, Mahogany and Walnut furniture, English and European clocks, glassware, china and objects d`art. Their restoration team of cabinet makers and French polishers have been involved in the company for many years and are regarded by their peers to be amongst the best in the state.
