Voyager Estate is a small, second generation, family-owned estate located in Stevens Valley and was established in 1978. Currently undergoing full organic conversion, the winery is one of Australia’s most ambitious and innovative producers of world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. All wines are estate-grown and reflect the unique qualities of Stevens Valley in Wallcliffe, Margaret River, with its undulating slopes, warm summers and cooling maritime breezes.

The Wines
Voyager Estate specialises in making Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The range explores these in-depth, through three labels; Tom Price, Estate and Girt by Sea. A series of small-batch vineyard block examples show the diversity and uniqueness of Margaret River’s regional heroes. Curio wine seekers will love the limited edition ‘Project Wines’ through which the team experiment with lesser-known varieties and new winemaking methods.

Wine Tasting
A driveway of immaculate, rose-tipped vineyards unveils the fairy-tale-like, Dutch-inspired architecture of the Voyager Estate wine tasting room and restaurant. Voyager Estate specialises in seated wine flight style tastings that offer an in-depth understanding of the wines. These start from $9 per person. Wines can also be enjoyed by the glass or bottle, with share plates of cold meats and preserves available too. For something extra special, book a private tasting with the Estate Sommelier, or select one of the diverse behind the scenes tours that operate on weekdays. Open 10am – 5pm daily.

The Restaurant
Headed by Spanish Chef Santiago Fernandez, the Chef-Hatted Restaurant (2018 Good Food Guide) specialises in Discovery Menus. The 4 or 7 course degustation menu shows off not just the Voyager Estate wines, but also Margaret River’s impressive seasonal produce. It changes every two months. Open from 11.30am daily.

Spend the day with Voyager Estate on their Walk, Wine & Dine tour. It begins with a guided walk through the Boodijdup Valley section of the world-renowned Cape to Cape track, completes with the ultimate treat, a spectacular 7-course, wine-paired Discovery menu at the award-winning Voyager Estate Restaurant.
