Experience an Ultimate Adventure fishing for the famous sportfish, the wild barramundi.

Travel to the historic ‘Bend of the Ord’ on the Lower Ord River system in the East Kimberley through outback station country, 1 hour’s 4WD ex Kununurra. This unique river system is home to lots of birdlife, tropical wildlife, crocodiles and the wild barramundi. Safaris depart daily from Hairy Dog’s Fishing Camp, set up bush style with kitchen shelter, verandah dining, screened rooms, bunkhouse and ablution block, all with river views. The experienced knowledgeable guides will traverse the shallow waters in pursuit of the elusive barramundi and will get you hooked! Other river fish species you may encounter are Western Sooty Grunter, catfish, archerfish,small tarpon, sometimes shark and on rare occasions mangrove jack.

You can enjoy a full day barramundi fishing, half day, stay overnight or escape for 2 days or more at Hairy Dog’s Fishing Camp. Those staying overnight may enjoy meals of their freshly caught fish or a barbecue or campfire cooking with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Catering for a minimum two, maximum three persons per boat, you will partake in a more personalised and relaxed small boat fishing adventure safari. All safaris include guided fishing, fishing gear (rods & reels on a replace if lost basis), camp accommodation if required, all meals whilst on safari, snacks, fruit, cool drink and courtesy transfers ex Kununurra. You will need to bring a shady hat, sunblock, insect repellent, personal items, any alcoholic drinks and a camera to catch the action!

Participants need to be in reasonable fitness, to wear protective outdoor clothing and footwear and to advise of any food allergy or dislike or of any medical condition.
