In the Henley Brook-heart of the Swan Valley, about 7km from Midland. Principal Count Bruno de Tastes uses the unusual viogner grape variety from his homeland of France.
Born in Paris in 1950, Count Bruno de Tastes met Kalgoorlie woman Jan Blackburne while in the Greek Islands. The couple married in Melbourne and ended up in Perth (via a Hawaii wholesale wine operation), where they opened Prideaux's restaurant before the Little River purchase in August 1993. The Count brought 800 years of French winemaking tradition to the Swan Valley, producing eight wines ù Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Grenache, Semillon, Muscat and two dessert wines. Little River's restaurant also offers alfresco, or indoor, provence-style lunches, and the venue is available for weddings and functions.
