Japingka Gallery is a specialist Aboriginal Art gallery housed on two levels of the heritage 1880s warehouse building at 47 High Street in Fremantle, Western Australia. The ground floor gallery presents a broad cross-section of Aboriginal art from leading artists and regions. The two upstairs galleries present new exhibitions every six weeks from Indigenous emerging and established communities and artists.
The gallery directors have over 29 years experience working with contemporary Aboriginal artists. Artworks are ethically sourced, and Japingka Gallery is an active member of both Art.Trade and the Australian Federal Government’s Indigenous Art Code, which aims to ensure best practice and ethical standards in the Aboriginal art industry.
Japingka Gallery is open 7 days a week and houses over 4000 Aboriginal art works from regions across Australia.
