Fremantle Prison is Western Australia’s only World Heritage listed building.
One of WA’s major tourist attractions, the Prison is situated on six hectares overlooking the port city. It was built by convict labour in the 1850s and decommissioned as an operating gaol in 1991.

Equipped with harnesses visitors are locked into the ladder system and descend 20 metres into the depths below. Visit dry sections of the tunnels by foot, then explore the submerged passageways accessible only by boat.
