In Detail

We have had a superb vintage, in more ways than one. We had a mild season which produced an even ripening right through to the finish. Disease pressure was constant and vigilance in the vineyard has paid off. Picking went well with some fantastic fruit flavours being seen across all varieties.

This year will be our most exciting to date. The long awaited cellar door is now almost completed and we are just weeks away from opening. It is built between Ferguson Road and the Ferguson River. Surrounded by Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon vines it has modern wine tasting facilities and a deck with great views down to the river. The lawns and tree shaded area are equipped with a Bar-b-que, wooden furniture and plenty of picnic space. Light meals, picnic and Bar-b-que hampers will be available, or visitors will be free to bring their own food.

We are preparing for the release of our first dedicated Sauvignon Blank, Semillon as well as our Moscato Cassie and our Vintage Sparkling Chardonnay.

2009 Sauvignon Blank Semillon exhibits fresh grassy, citrus and passionfruit notes on the nose, which are also reflected on the palate. It is a crisp wine with a lovely clean finish. Release date July 2009.

Cassie Moscato is a crisp lively wine crammed full of vibrant cherries, strawberries and ripe peaches, culminating in a musky sherbet finish. The wine is blush in colour and has a wonderful fizz due its cold ferment retaining natural CO2 and has an alcohol of just 6%. Release date August 2009.

2008 Vintage Sparkling Chardonnay is hand picked whole bunch pressed and made in the traditional Methode Champenoise. It exhibits pears, apples and yeasty biscuit characters, combine this with luscious lasting bubbles and you have a wine to celebrate any occasion. Release date August 2009.
