We aim to support research work relating to diabetes and the prevention, control or cure of that disease; found, encourage or contribute to scholarships, fellowships or travel grants for the purpose of promoting research into diabetes and raise funds for the purpose of supporting research into diabetes

DRF has funded research projects into diabetes since 1978. Through the efforts of a dedicated team and many supporters a Centre for Diabetes Research was established in 2005. The Centre now houses over 20 researchers conducting world-class research under the direction of Professor Grant Morahan. Recent breakthroughs have the potential to change the lives of millions of people living with diabetes.
