Family friendly picnic grounds, free wine tasting and BBQ facilities allow for a relaxed yet immersive day trip experience.
Established in 1973 by Will Nairn, Shiraz was the first variety planted followed by Chenin Blanc and Zinfandel in 1976 and Cabernet Sauvignon in 1979. Other varieties such as Chardonnay, Verdelho, Cabernet Franc and the traditional Portuguese Port Varieties were planted in 1980. During the vintage of 2006, winemaker Mark joined the team and is solely responsible for production of Peel’s quality Sparkling Wine, authentically created by applying the traditional individual-bottle method.
The coastal limestone soils and Mediterranean climate typically characteristic of the Peel Region ensure consistently rich fruit intensity wines. The teams wine making expertise exploits these innate features, adding just enough wood to establish complexity and longevity throughout their range.
