Constructing a large-scale building in a high-traffic area is not an easy task.It takes careful planning and years of experience to execute a project to the highest standards, while addressing the noise, safety and access issues that are bound, to arise.

In one of PACT Construction’s most recent projects, the team went to great lengths to ensure the construction of the project was respectful to the campus’s learning environment.

The Western Australian Commercial Construction company was one of 10 builders invited to submit their interest in the groundbreaking five-storey project, and was successful in its bid.

Although not the largest company under consideration, PACT Construction’s strong relationship with architects JCY, and track record for cost-effective methods set it apart.

Completed in just 88 weeks, the project was not without its challenges. One of these was the construction of the building’s eye-catching gold wrap-around facade, which incorporated both glazing and cladding to form a complete
sun-shading solution. Internally, the team employed state-of-the art technology such as large LED panels to complement the vast atrium, and was required to construct in-ground ductwork to deliver airflow from the existing university system to the new building.

Through its collaborative approach with the architects, effective time management and high attention-to-detail, PACT Construction has demonstrated once again that its position as one of Western Australia’s leading commercial builders is warranted.
