To say this home is remarkable is an understatement. Built by Weststyle Design
and Development, it sits emphatically on a west-to-east, steep-sloping beachfront site.
Weststyle and Hillam Architects worked together to ensure that quality was the
top priority with this build, achieved by applying the highest level of finishes and
attention to detail.
The design itself focuses on sharp lines softened by strategically designed curves.
Negative details and perfect junctions work as a juxtaposition to create a masterpiece.

Large areas of floor-to-ceiling double-glazing take advantage of the ocean views from the living areas, kitchen, master bedroom and ensuite.
The contrasting sharp lines and curves are played throughout the home, with key areas being the kitchen and entrance.
In the former, the rangehood bulkhead was formed using modelmaking techniques to create perfect curves wrapping around the bulkhead of the kitchen and framing the view to the north. This seems to hover over the impressive benchtop, made with a contrasting combination of veined arabescato marble and industrial-style stainless steel.
The staircase connecting the entrance to the living areas is a statement in itself, consisting of floating steps illuminated with LED lighting underneath and spectacular geometric pendant lighting overhead.
Bedrooms and bathrooms have not been forgotten when it comes to decadence, with full-height, thick white glass used as cladding to the bathroom walls, and a freestanding bath and pillar looking through a glazed wall to the ocean.
Externally, a cantilevered cabana roof over the alfresco area is fitted with a six-bank fully automated vergola, wired into the C-Bus system with rain and wind sensors.
For recreation, a sauna and steam room overlooks the infinity-edge pool, with the
Indian Ocean beyond.
Many more features abound in this breathtaking build, culminating in a crisp,
modern and edgy home that has become a real head-turner for passers by.
