KSP’s October Holiday Write-a-Rama for Young Writers 10 to 15 years old

WHERE: KSP Writers Centre, 11 Old York Road, Greenmount WA 6056

WHEN: Monday October 4, Tuesday October 5 and Thursday October 7 2010, 9.30am – 4pm

Join us for three days of writing fun at KSP’s School Holiday Write-a-Rama. Meet other writers your own age, and develop your writing skills in a creative, safe and friendly setting. No special writing skills or experience are necessary, though people obsessed with writing will definitely be catered for!

• Try out different kinds of writing and have fun writing a short story in Melissa O’Shea’s “Fun with Fiction” workshop.
• Meet fantasy writer Juliet Marillier, author of Wildwood Dancing, Cybele’s Secret, and many wonderful books for adults, including the Sevenwaters Trilogy. Get an inside look at the life of a writer, and learn what it takes to write a novel and create a world.
• Gather facts and fables to use in your work on our Writing Tour of Fremantle. Walk around Freo with pen in hand, ready to write as inspiration strikes. The Writing Train will stop at the Fremantle Maritime Museum, the Round House, Bathers Beach, Cicerellos Fish and Chips and the Fremantle Prison.
• Did you know that editing can actually be fun? Learn this and more in novelist David Caddy’s "Lions before the Last Giraffe" workshop. Come along to decode the secret of the title!
• Get your work published in our Write-a-Rama anthology. You can even order gift copies for your family and friends!
