Perth Fashion Festival International Ambassador Russell James said he was looking forward to the Festival and, in particular, meeting the designers and models that Western Australia is so famous for.
“I’m thrilled to be involved in WA’s largest annual fashion event and to get a first-hand look at the amazing talent pool emerging from Perth,” Russell said.
“Despite Perth’s isolation, it really is making a name for itself out there in the fashion world and the industry is taking notice. It’s always exciting to see new talent emerge and Perth has a reputation for being a hunting ground for some of the world’s most beautiful and talented models and designers. I am really excited to be involved in the Festival and am looking forward to the runway shows,” Russell said.
The week-long festival will showcase an eclectic mix of 160 labels, 100 models and more than 100 talented West Australian designers presented across 50 events.
“Given the number of designers participating and the calibre of guests attending, we could not be more excited about this year’s Festival,” Festival Director, Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said.
“The event is attracting world-wide recognition and, along with a number of celebrities, we will also have international media and national buyers in attendance. 2010 is looking to be the most impressive and successful event in PFF’s history! ”
