Call for Entries open: Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award 2010 supported by Little Creatures Brewing
Any print or artist’s book made in the past two years is eligible to enter the Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award supported by Little Creatures Brewing.
Formerly the Fremantle Print Award, the FAC Print Award continues to feature as one of the premier art awards on Australia’s calendar in 2010. Artists working with any process are encouraged to enter a print or artist’s book in this key event.
Established in 1976, the FAC Print Award continues to raise the benchmark of contemporary printmaking across the board. Exquisite lino prints stand alongside contemporary works that push the boundaries of the craft – each in the running for the $12 000 acquisitive prize.
Contemporary printmaking is well and truly thriving in Fremantle - the Award attracts record visitors from local and interstate audiences, presenting a dynamic survey of makers from across the country.
“The Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award is an important event for artists in any stage of their career to present their work with their contemporaries,” says Elizabeth Delfs, FACPA Coordinator. “Be part of a national survey of contemporary print; and be part of a major promotional and professional experience which fosters further opportunities for artists.”
Works will be selected and judged by:
Vernon Ah Kee: Artist, Brisbane
Kirrily Hammond: Curator, Collection, Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne
Leigh Robb: Curator, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Perth
