Artists announced - Artsource Residencies 2011 Artsource ‘Go Anywhere’ Residency

In the second year of this new initiative, Artsource invited artists to create their own residency, anywhere in the world. The assessment panel awarded three artists from the $35,000 total fund...

Holly Story will undertake an eight week residency at King’s Wood in Kent, UK, supported by Stour Valley Arts. Holly will use the opportunity to engage as an artist with this historic site in the south east England, investigating notions of landscape and place through personal and historic references to English botany and natural history.

Adam Derums will travel to New York to develop contacts that will assist in the launch of his newly published monograph, and to establish representation in the northern hemisphere. This time overseas will also be used to research artworks that draw from the subjective realm of nature and the tradition of the Romantic movement.

Emerging artist Elizabeth Delfs is off to Berlin for six months. Having been invited by Culturia to participate in their young creatives program, this residency will give Elizabeth the chance to live and work in the heart of Berlin. Culturia offers assistance in the building of professional networks throughout Europe, optimising contacts and communication between participants.

The Artsource 'Go Anywhere' Residency is made possible by the generous financial support of Artsource Patrons. We look forward to building on this program to offer Western Australian artists the opportunity to experience art across the globe. Artsource Basel Residency, Switzerland
