Osawa Wines - A Sustainable Winery in Hawke's Bay Osawa Wines is a family-owned winery located in Maraekakaho, on the western side of Hawke's Bay in New Zealand.

The winery is situated in a beautiful location and is known for producing 11 different varieties of wine, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and dessert wines.

Sustainable and Responsible Winemaking

Mr. Taizo Osawa started this winery in 2004, inspired by his love for wine, after traveling to America, Australia, and New Zealand to find the perfect location to start a vineyard. Osawa Wines is committed to sustainable and responsible practices in grape growing and wine production. In 2016, the winery became 100% organic certified by Bio Gro and has been sustainable since its first vintage. The winery's philosophy is to produce beautifully balanced wines with minimal intervention. The winery only allows vines to have between 15 to 20 bunches of grapes, resulting in tastier grapes and top-quality wine.

Private Tastings

Osawa Wines does not have a cellar door and focuses on selling its wine into premium on and off-trade markets. However, visitors can arrange a private tasting by appointment.

Osawa Wines is approximately 30 minutes drive west of Napier in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. Visitors can easily drive or take a taxi to the winery.
