Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour is an iconic Sydney experience.

Since 2012, Opera Australia has created a pop-up outdoor opera theatre in Sydney's Domain, seating approximately 3,000. The stage, sitting over the water, is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and CBD skyline.

Each year, audiences enjoy the outdoor venue as the sun sets, tasting New South Wales’ excellent food and wine at one of the casual and premium dining areas, before being inspired by incredible opera productions performed by world-class singers and musicians.

Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour is located at Fleet Steps, Mrs Macquaries Point, Sydney NSW 2000.

Mrs Macquaries Road, leading into the venue, is likely to experience traffic congestion. We highly recommend avoiding this road by catching public transport or parking in surrounding car parks and then catching our free shuttle bus.
