Minnamurra Beach, also known as 'Mystics', is a popular spot with locals and visitors alike. It stretches from the rocky headland towards the volcanic outcrop known as Stack Island (aka Rangoon Island).

The beach forms a sand spit, behind which is the estuary of Minnamurra River. The natural setting features small areas of vegetation with a view out to stunning Stack Island. This beach is also a part of the National Surfing Reserve at Killalea State Park.

Minnamurra Beach has plenty to offer for a day out. The picturesque scenery makes it a great location for enjoying a barbecue, picnic, or simply soaking up the sun. The estuary of the Minnamurra River is a popular spot for fishing, kayaking or swimming. Additionally, this location is well-known for surfing. The beach has plenty of sheltered areas to visit, and Stack Island guarantees a breathtaking view.

Minnamurra Beach is a great location to visit year-round. Summer months are popular with beach-goers, while Spring and Autumn are great times for exploring the National Surfing Reserve at Kilalea State Park. Even during the winter months the beach is still well-worth a visit, with plenty of sheltered areas to enjoy.

Minnamurra Beach is easily accessible by car. The beach is located around 30 minutes drive from Wollongong, and takes around 90 minutes from Sydney. The nearest train station is Kiama Station, which is around 10 minutes drive from the beach.
